I often wonder about the person behind the website. Here is my story, in case you are wondering About SuzieMax …

(My first name is Suzanne and my maiden name is Maxwell.  When I was in high school and college, many of my friends called me SuzieMax.)

 I lost my husband after a long illness in the fall of 2005 and become a widow two days after my 46th birthday. It was really hard on my 11 year-old daughter and me.

After a few months, I knew I needed something in my life, but I didn’t know what. I am an RN with a full-time job, but still I knew I needed something that would not only occupy my time, but be fun, creative, fulfilling and challenging - something to bring the life back into my life.

One night while I was shopping online (I do love to shop!), I thought “I need to learn how to make money online instead of spend it”. I knew you could make money with websites, but had no idea how.

The idea stuck with me and I started searching and searching (I am quite persistent!) and searching. I read and read and researched and read some more. One day I came across a company called Site Build It! (SBI!). I learned that it is a company that not only hosts websites; it has all the tools to help ordinary people build successful websites.

I found their 10 day action guide. I read it and then I did the first 5 days.

SBI! Teaches you to make a list of all the things you are passionate enough about to build a site and then gives you the tools to research them and formulate a good topic. I did that and when I purchased my first SBI! Site, was already fairly certain that it would be called Mineral Makeup Reviews.   After I paid for my site, I did the 10 day action guide again and built my first site, Mineral Makeup Reviews.

It was so exciting because I did exactly what they told me to do and exactly what they said would happen, did happen. I had a successful website! I began getting ranked in the search engines and getting more and more visitors everyday and I began to make money!

I was so thrilled with my success that I started another site inspired by my love of collecting vintage Barbie dolls, Fashion Doll Guide. It has been just as successful as the first one.  Four of my friends are starting their own sites because they have seen how much I have enjoyed doing it (although I think they are more impressed that you can make money doing it).

This site is more of my personal site, something I wanted to do to put together many of my favorite things, I hope you enjoyed your visit!
