Beaded Block Depression Glass

Beaded Block Depression Glass

Pattern:
Beaded Block Depression Glass

Manufacturer:
Imperial Glass Company

Dates Manufactured:
1927 through 1930s

Colors:
Pink, Green, Crystal (clear), Ice Blue, Canary Yellow, Iridescent, Amber, Red, Opalescent and Milk White

This pattern has a one of the largest number of colors of any depression glass pattern.  The iridescent is often mistaken for carnival glass and the clear for sandwich glass.  Imperial had a reissue of the pink and iridized pink pieces in the late 1970s and early 1980s.  These pieces are marked with an IG mark on the bottom.  The depression ear pieces are unmarked.

Most of the plates are square, the round plates are much rarer.

The Pint Jug Pitcher and Covered Pear Shaped Candy Dish are among the rarest and most valuable pieces.

It was only made in a 4 1/2" round bowl in red and these are very rare.  The clear, pink, green and amber are the easiest colors to find.  The other colors are more rare.
