Early American Prescut Glass

Early American Prescut Glass Pattern:
Early American Prescut Glass

Manufacturer:
Anchor Hocking

Dates Manufactured:
1960 to 1974

Colors:
Crystal (clear),  Limited items in Green, Red and Blue

Two of the best things about this pattern, which is also called EAPC and Star of David by collectors is that it is easy to identify, it is very widely available and for the most part is very inexpensive to collect.

Although I never made a conscious decision to collect this pattern, I have quite a few pieces in my collection and they are pieces that I use and enjoy on a regular basis.  I just cannot resist this pattern!  My mother has and uses pieces that she bought from the dime store in the 1960s.  I guess I have a special bond with this pattern because I have childhood memories connected with it.

I have seen a few pieces over the years done in the Royal Ruby color - they are so beautiful.  I wish Anchor Hocking would have made more ruby pieces in this pattern.

Today there are many. many sets available still in their original boxes, including the punch bowl set which is amazingly easy to find and is a beautiful and impressive item.

If you are looking for a pattern that is easy and inexpensive collect and has a wide variety of pieces available, this may be you pattern!
