Floral and Diamond Band Depression Glass

Floral and Diamond Band Green Depression Glass Pattern:
Floral and Diamond Band Depression Glass

Manufacturer:
US Glass Company

Dates Manufactured:
Late 1920s

Colors:
Pink, Green, Crystal (clear), Some Iridescent and Black.

The first piece of depression glass I ever bought was a pink bowl in this pattern.  I still love and use it.  The green color is most commonly seen and the green sherbets are especially abundant.

Sears advertised and sold this pattern in the late 1920s.  They sold a seven piece berry set with an 8" large berry bowl and 6 smaller 4 1/2" berry bowls for 68 cents!  The sever piece water set with a pitcher and 6 tumblers was $1.18.

All items were made in pink and green, not in the other colors.  The rarest (and most valuable pieces) are the Covered Butter Dish, the Pitcher and the Covered Sugar Bowl.  The iridescent pitchers are very rare and valuable.

Along with the sherbets, the easiest pieces to find are both sizes of the berry bowls - I guess Sears sold lots of those sets in the 20s!
