Pattern: Florentine Depression Glass - There are 2 different
Florentine patterns. Florentine No.1 is also known as Old Florentine
and Poppy No. 1. Florentine No. 2 is also known as Florentine No. 2
and Poppy No. 2.
Colors: Florentine No. 1 - Pink, Green, Clear, Yellow
and Cobalt Blue. Florentine No. 2 - Pink, Green, Clear, Some Cobalt, Amber and Ice Blue
The pattern is the same on both patterns - the outlines and/or shapes of the
items are different. The patterns are considered to be interchangeable
and most collectors mix both patterns together.
In Florentine No. 1 the plates and bowls are squared with ruffled or
serrated corners. The feet on cups, sugars, creamers, sherbets, footed
tumblers are also all ruffled.
In Florentine No. 2
all edges are smooth and rounded.
