Hobnail Depression Glass

Hocking Glass Company

Dates Manufactured:
1934 - 1936

Most Depression Era Glass companies had some sort of hobnail design.  The Hocking design is always easy to recognize, because the pieces are all the same shape as the popular Miss America pattern.

Only four pieces were made in pink.  They were Sherbet, Cup & Saucer (which can also double as a sherbet plate) and a 8 1/2" Luncheon plate.

The clear pieces are easiest to find, but the clear was also made with a red trim and these items are more valuable.

Items made in this pattern include: 2 Bowls - 5 1/2" Cereal & 7" Salad; Cup & Saucer; Footed Creamer & Sugar; 32 ounce Decanter with Stopper; 2 Goblets - 10 ounce water & 13 ounce iced tea; 2 Pitchers - 18 ounce Milk & 67 ounce; 2 Plates - 6" Sherbet; 8 1/2" Luncheon; 4 Tumblers - 5 ounce Juice, 9 ounce Water, 10 ounce Water, 15 ounce Iced Tea; 2 Footed Tumblers - 3 ounce Wine/Juice & 5 ounce Cordial and 1 1/2" Whiskey.
