Red Depression Glass is very popular with collectors, especially around the holidays. I have a large (and ever growing!) collection of red glass and I love to use it throughout the Christmas season as well as Valentine's Day. Red, which is sometimes called Ruby, is not one of the more abundant colors made and some of the reds have an orange tint, which is sometimes called Amberina. The red color made by Anchor Hocking was called Royal Ruby. They made many pieces in their different patterns in Royal Ruby, from the Depression Era through the 1960s.
