US Glass Company
The size of the company gave it unique exposure in the various newspapers of the day. For example, here’s a small clip from the Pittsburgh Gazette Times in 1908: "This company manufactures pressed tableware, lead-blown stem ware, lead-blown tumblers, show jars, soda-fountain supplies, decorated ware (gold-etched, enameled, engraved and sand-blast), lamps, pressed stem-ware, pressed tumblers, pressed beer-mugs, confection-ware, novelties, private mold-work, photographers' goods, pavement lights, prism window-lights, wine sets, fancy-cut goods and other articles in glass." You can’t beat good advertising! Lots of Little Company’s = BIG presence
The main office for all work was in Pittsburgh PA in what had previously been the Ripley Glass facility.
The US Glass Depression Glass Patterns are: Carnival Glass: As with other manufacturers of the time, the bread and butter for US Glass was carnival glass. They had a variety of patterns and colors that remain popular with collectors today. These include: Moon and Stars: US Glass also manufactured the popular and long lasting Moon and Stars pattern in the 1890s.

The US Glass Company was founded in Tiffin Ohio in 1891 (this was the hand-worked glass site. The automated cite was in Gas City, In). 17 years later it had grown to a staggering size – operating 11 plants with a working capital of over three million dollars.
The US Glass Company wasn’t just one big firm. It was a lot of small companies united in a trust. You could find US Glass companies throughout the United States. Here is a list of some of their manufacturing facilities and the year they opened:
