Glass Identification Question - Amber Goblets

by Clara Hubacek
(Beaumont, TX)

I have had these pieces for several years and have not been able to locate others. The glasses measure 4-1/2" tall and sherbert is about 3-1/2" tall. The bottom have bubbles like candlewick, but not sure that is what it is. Can anyone identify these?

Hi Clara -
These are the Bubble pattern - made by Anchor Hocking from 1935 to 1965. Only Blue, Dark Green, Ruby Red & Clear were made in the depression years - so the amber would be from the 40s, 50s or 60s.

This pattern was originally called Berwick when it was first produced circa 1950 but it is now better known as Boopie. I suspect this was their version of Candlewick, which Imperial Glass produced for almost 50 years.

Hocking produced this line from the 1950's to the 1970's in forest green, royal ruby, amber and crystal (clear).
Thanks,
