Glass Identification Question - Red top to green bottom glass pedestal tray.

by Adam

I've looked everywhere for this unmarked design and discovered that the world of glass is too large to face alone. This is a heavy little candy tray. Slightly opalescent depending on angle(photo does zero justice), it has an orange/red platter with light green foot. The rim of the tray refracts green as well.

Watermelon Glass

I have seen this color combination called watermelon glass. That's a start anyway. Search Ebay for watermelon glass and I bet you dig up more info.

Hi Adam,

This really looks like deep marigold over vaseline glass to me. Do you have a black light? I'll bet the entire piece glows.

I'm unsure who made this but it REALLY reminds me of patterns produced by Imperial Glass.

I can't tell what the dimensions are of this piece and the shape is slightly puzzling. It's not really deep enough to be your standard compote.

If you search around on eBay do look at Imperial Glass. If you don't find the exact pattern you should find something close. It is definitely a "ribbed" pattern.

Have a good day!
