I am trying to determine what it is-----depression glass or elegant glass and what the pattern might be.
I want to sell it however I need this information prior to doing so.

Hi Nancy,

It appears to be wheel cut so you can safely say it is depression glass. A lot of people consider needle etched glass elegant and wheel cut depression glass. You can safely say this was produced circa 1930 but don't indicate earlier than 1910.

It looks like this is a tri-footed dish? Yes, no?

If you post a pic with a good shot of the feet or at least one of the feet that may help with the IDing of the piece. The etch won't offer you any clues as to the maker. Some people produced a scroll type foot while others had an almost peg (straight & plain) type foot.

So many companies produced glass but then sent it out to be etched/cut by another company. Also, include the dimensions if you post more information.
