Pink Glass Pattern Identification Request

by Nancy Sylvester
(Ft. Myers, FL)

I have several pieces of glass that I believed to be depression glass or elegant glass. I want to sell them however I can't seem to find out the pattern names so that I may determine the value. The glass is a pale pink
I have attached a picture for your review. I will send another request since I can't seem to attach more than one picture at a time.
Would you please help me with this?
Thanks, Nancy Sylvester

A Little Bit of Help
by: Angela

Hi!

Your plate looks wheel cut/etched to me. If your plate is wheel etched (you can see lines in the cuts and it feels cut into the glass) then it was probably produced in the 1930's. If it is acid etched then it could have been produced in the 1940's (or newer).

There are quite a few patterns and ID'ing things sometimes are next to impossible unfortunately. You might get more for them if you consider selling them individually. If one buyer bids on them you will do pretty good but if two or more buyers are interested you can do even better if there is a bidding war. Depending on whether they are bread/salad plates, luncheon plates or dinner plates your starting price can be as low as $4.99 or upwards of $14.99 each. A title such as Pink Depression Glass Wheel Cut Floral & Wheat Plate should help people easily find your listing. I wish I could see your pic while I was typing this! LOL I do believe wheat is what I thought when I saw the pattern.

Sorry I can't ID the pattern for you! It's a wonderful pattern and I don't believe I've seen it before so that could be a REAL PLUS for you!
